Mining and Writing: Abstractions, Fantasies, Histories
In this talk, I will consider three issues: first, the different ways in which contemporary mining is made visible to audiences beyond the mining industry; second, some trans-historical narratives of mining; and finally how miners themselves have given expression to their work.
