SNF-PRIMA grant awarded to Anne-Sophie Bories
Dr. Anne-Sophie Bories has been awarded a prestigious PRIMA-grant by the Swiss National Science Foundation for the period 2019-2024. Her project is titled “Le Rire des vers – Mining the Comic Verse”.
Her group at the French studies seminar will work on the joint exploration of versification and humour in a 19th, 20th and 21st Century corpus, in a computational Stylistics perspective that brings together close and distant reading.
Through its PRIMA grant programme, the SNSF supports outstanding women researchers who show a high potential for obtaining a professorship. Anne-Sophie Bories is one of 19 female academics chosen this year, from 125 applicants.
