Workshop

Digital Research in Old Norse Studies: Data Management and Infrastructure Needs

In this workshop, solutions to current issues of data management and infrastructure, especially in Scandinavian Mediaeval Studies, will be developed and discussed.

Supported by the Doctoral Program in Literary Studies and organized by DPL members Nora Kauffeldt, Madita Knöpfle, Sven Kraus, among others, a workshop on Digital Humanities in Old Norse Studies will take place from October 5–8, 2022. (Junior) researchers from Scandinavian Mediaeval Studies and other fields will report on their digital projects and related difficulties, especially with a focus on standards for data and infrastructures.

The focus of the workshop is a discussion-based exchange in which concrete proposals for solutions to current problems are to be developed. Presentations will therefore take up little space and serve mainly as impulses for the discussions. The preliminary program is available as PDF. The workshop will be held on site and in English. If interested, please register by September 30 at the latest at digifan-dslw@clutterunibas.ch.
